Elections
The Engineers & Architects Association (EAA) By-Laws establish the rules that govern the organization’s structure, operations, and elections. In accordance with EAA Bylaw IX, amendments may be proposed to ensure the By-Laws continue to reflect the will and needs of the membership. The adoption of any amendment(s) shall require an affirmative vote of the majority of votes cast by the dues paying members. Voting shall be conducted according to the procedures established by the Board-approved Election Manual.
In accordance with the EAA Constitution and By-Law IX, a special election will be held to consider the below proposed amendment to Bylaw II(3).

PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO EAA UNION BY-LAWS
CURRENT LANGUAGE:
Contributions to the Union’s Political Action Committee (PAC) Fund shall be voluntary and in addition to membership dues.
PROPOSED LANGUAGE:
Contributions to the Union’s California State Political Action Committee (PAC) Fund may be paid from a portion of membership dues, in an amount not to exceed 30 percent of the budget surplus remaining from the end of the prior fiscal year's budget and as determined by the Board. Any such allocation shall be agendized, voted upon during a Board meeting, and recorded in the meeting minutes.
